Juliet Asare came to the United States three years ago to give her three children an opportunity for an education. She left behind a thriving construction business and a clothing boutique in her home of Ghana West Africa.
Living in Columbus Ohio, Ms. Asare is a simple woman with a simple lifestyle. Her three children are Nana K. Boakye, (25), Kodjo Jr. (20), and Candy, (17). Nana is married to Eunice also of Ghana West Africa, and they have a lovely daughter.
Juliet works evenings to provide for her family while in attendance in school and college. Kodjo currently attends Athens University in Athens Ohio. Candy is still in high school and while Nana works to support his family, he is looking to take classes in university to further his education.
Juliet is known for her easy going manner and her love and support of her community. Both here in America and abroad. While she works evenings, Juliet spends her days as Executive Director of Nation 2 Nation, a United Nations NetAid organization. The organization recently started a Chapter in Columbus, naming Juliet as its head. Working out of her home, Juliet has begun a membership drive to assist in building the Ohio Chapter. "Nation 2 Nation donates medical supplies and equipment to African nations. The Chapter in Columbus will have fund raising events to help to defray the cost of shipping these goods and raise awareness of AIDS in Africa. I plan to go home to Ghana in December with the President of the organization and take donations to my village in Kukurancumi. The Chief Nana Kena Amapau of the Royal Akan People will meet with us and other dignitaries of the Ghana government. We are all looking forward to this trip. AIDS is killing our people and we all must try to do our part."
